Your Role in Bargaining

The Collective Agreement covers close to 3600 SaskTel employees working in all occupational groups.

The Collective Agreement is a written legal document.

The current Collective Agreement expires March 20, 2010. After the expiration date, the Agreement remains in effect until a new one can be negotiated.

The Agreement is negotiated by a Committee composed of elected members from throughout the province. The Committee is chaired by a CEP National Representative.

The CEP Committee works on consensus, however, if consensus cannot be reached, a vote may have to occur.

Our negotiations are governed by the Canada Labour Code.

Once an agreement is reached, the members will have the final decision on whether they want to accept or reject the deal.
