Gord Kuhn

 

Gord has been actively involved in the union since 1991. First as a Shop Steward with the Communications Workers of Canada Local 1, then in 1995 as a Group Representative with the newly formed Communications Energy and Paperworkers union of Canada,(CEP) Local 1-S.

 

In 2005 Gord became the Vice-President of CEP Local 1-S, and assumed the responsibility of representing the members of Local 1-S on the CEP Provincial Grievance Committee. 

 

In October 2008 he became the interim President of the Local before being elected to the position and beginning his term as President of CEP Local 1-S on January 1, 2009.

 

Gord has been involved on numerous committees during his involvement in the union and represented a number of work groups during the years as Group Representative and member of the CEP Local 1-S Executive Board.  

 

Gord began his career at SaskTel in February 1981, as an Assistant Shopman repairing and refurbishing telephones, then later progressed into the position of Customer Service Technician until he was elected to the position of Full-time President of Local 1-S.

Bob Bender

 

Bob has been active with CEP since 1998.  He has been the President of Local 2S since January of 2007. This will be his 2nd term as the Bargaining Representative for Local 2S. He has also served the Local as Vice President, Treasurer, Group Rep, SaskCouncil Chair and as a member of the JEAC and the Provincial Grievance Committee.  Bob also served on the PEPP Board for 6 years representing CEP. 

 

Bob is a 30 year SaskTel employee and has worked as a FST, CST Residential and Business. His last role was as a CST in the TAC center until he went on a union leave of absence in late 2006.

Jason Reihl

 

Jason is the current President of Local 3. He previously served as the Local 3 Treasurer, Vice President, co-chair of several Joint Committees and as a SaskCouncil Bargaining Representative.

 

He has worked at the CSC in Moose Jaw for 5 years.

Claudine Berner

 

Claudine has been active in the local for the last 11 years.  She started out as a Steward and is currently in her third term as Group Rep for the Customer Relationship Center in Regina.  She is a member of several joint CEP/SaskTel Committees - CRC, Empower, Collaboration, Store, Anti Harassment and Sick Leave.  

 

This is Claudine’s 2nd term as a SaskCouncil Bargaining Representative.  She is a 13 year Full-time Employee at SaskTel and currently works as a Service Rep in the Consumer Help Desk in Regina.

Shelley Boutin-Gervais

 

Shelley is a member of Local 2S and has been active within the union for 27 years as a Steward, Sub Local Chair for North Battleford and the past 2 years as Vice President of Local 2S. She is a member of the Joint Health Plan Committee and co-chair of the Joint OH&S Committee. She has been a member of the bargaining committee for the past 6 years.

 

Shelley has worked for SaskTel since March 1980 and has worked in various positions such as an Operator, Service Assistant, Business Rep, District Shipper Receiver, Admin Assistant, Clerical Associate and Sales Associate.

Glen Armstrong

 

Glen has worked for SaskTel in Swift Current for over 30 years, and has been involved with the union for the majority of that time. Glen has held such positions for Local 3 as Member of the OH&S Policy Committee and Chief Steward for Swift Current and Area. Glen is currently a Steward, OH&S co-chair for Swift Current and a SaskCouncil Bargaining Representative.

 

Glen has, in the past, worked in Network, I&R and was dedicated to Mobility work for a number of years. He currently works in I&R – Data, Business and Residential.
